Schultzy's Swingin' D (Locally Tied)

Schultzy's Swingin' D has been a staple for us here in Michigan through the years. Between the general structure of the fly and the materials used to tie it, the Swingin' D offers an absurd amount of action that triggers wicked strikes. It is everything that you need to catch big fish. It's big, it's loud (thanks to the rattle), and it has a great profile in the water.

The Swingin' D will elicit some of the most aggressive eats that you will ever experience. Simply put, it is one of the best flies for bass that you will ever tie on.

This pattern fishes best on an intermediate line however in low flows it fishes well on a floater.  For added depth and immediate surface penetration add a .025 lead keel to the hooks bend.  The Swingin' D is fished on a 7wt or 8wt rod with intermediate line. For best results fish the Swingin D series on a 45 down with intermittent sharp strips and don’t forget to pause and let it hang! A must for any serious river anglers arsenal.
